When a young nurse named Lisa Garland looks into Alessa's burn tent out of curiosity, she lashes out, burning the nurse's eyes and making them bleed forever, staining her clothes. Her hatred causes her to manifest extreme psionic powers, resulting in the flowers next to her hospital bed wilting. After being found by her mother Dahlia Gillespie and the policemen, Alessa was taken to Brookhaven Hospital, but her rage and hatred begin to spiral out of control. The burning goes awry, causing a massive fire in the sacrifical chamber leading the cultists to abandon the room, leaving Alessa alive tied to a large seal, but with fourth degree burns over 100% of her body. Sometime around 10 PM on the night of November 1, 1974, a young girl named Alessa Gillespie is burned alive by a group of religious fanatics who believe her to be a witch. She is portrayed by Jodelle Ferland, who also played Emily Dinsmore in Smallville, Aggie Prenderghast in ParaNorman, Lillith Sullivan in Case 39, Michael Rollins in The Messengers and Audrey in Revenge Porn. She is a supernatural manifestation containing the dark half of Alessa Gillespie's soul and this creature embodies pure anguish. She serves as the overarching protagonist in the 2006 film Silent Hill and a minor yet pivotal antagonist of its 2012 sequel Silent Hill: Revelation. I am theirs.ĭark Alessa is the major anti-villain in the Silent Hill film series. ~ Dark Alessa to Rose Da Silva, regarding the doom of Silent Hill's townspeople who tortured Alessa Gillespie.Įverybody has their different nightmares in Silent Hill. But now is the end of days, and I am the Reaper! For 30 years, they've denied their own fate. For over 30 years, they've lied to their own souls. *A bit off topic, but I almost teared up when I saw Lisa in this condition, considering how sad that scene was in the first game. Now the dream of this life must end and so too must the dreamers within it. I think the writting of this segment was a bit sloppy imho. When the two merged-in the film, that is-a coalescence occurred, creating a more natural balance between Alessa & Sharon, thus leaving Sharon v2.0 and Rose in the "foggy" reality-leaving behind both the (the evil reality or Alessa's) and the normal reality (that Christopher remained in).You think the average non-SH fan would be able to catch this? Because the other possibility (John Doe shagging a burn victom while Lisa's getting coffee ), which one might come to if they wasted their time thinking about it like I did, is a rather disturbing one, and feels like a plot hole. In the film, these two halves are distinct in that one is inherently good (Sharon), while the other is evil (Alessa). Cheryl was "born" by Alessa splitting her soul into two entities: Alessa & Cheryl. Thomas wrote:It's the same as in Silent Hill 1. because the idea of someone coming into the hospital and banging away on a burn patient is a ridiculous/disturbing one. The only conclusion I could come to was the demon? It did say that Sharon was the "good part" of Alessa that was less, so I suppose it's possible that it was refering to creating Sharon and maybe I just missed the clarification.

strange to anyone else? I've only seen it once so far, so perhaps I missed it, but I don't recall them mentioning who Sharon's real father is. Does this (not the giving birth part, that makes sense in a hospital setting) seem to be rather.

Which would mean that she would have to have been impregnated and given birth while under hospitalization. while she was clearly hostipalized the whole time. From my first viewing, it appears that Sharon was Alessa's daughter, correct? Say sharon is around 10 years old, we are lead to believe that Alessa was burned at around the same age that Sharon is now (it's been 30 years since then, and Christopher discusses Alessa being 40, 40-30=10.) This would indicate that Alessa had sharon when she was 30 years old, 20 years after having been burned. I'm curious if I may have missed something here.
